The Anhui General Chamber of Commerce in Mexico led a delegation to visit Mexico to deepen Anhui-Mexico exchanges and cooperation. Recently, Huang Mingxi, Executive Vice President of the chamber, headed a delegation of local Anhui entrepreneurs on an inspection and exchange tour. During their first stop in Mexico City, the delegation visited the Mexican House of Representatives and conducted field research at leading local industry enterprises, reaching several significant agreements in areas such as cultural mutual learning, industrial collaboration, and economic cooperation. This initiative has established a crucial bridge for government-enterprise communication, facilitating high-quality expansion of Anhui enterprises into the Mexican market and deeper penetration in Latin America.
On May 12, Mexican time, the delegation made a special visit to the Mexican House of Representatives and was warmly received by its members. Huang Mingxi provided a comprehensive overview to the Mexican side of Anhui Province's remarkable leapfrog development achievements and core industrial strengths in recent years across sectors such as new energy vehicles, the digital economy, and intelligent manufacturing. He also outlined the service role and development vision of the Anhui-Mexico General Chamber of Commerce as a "bridgehead" for economic and trade cooperation between the two regions. The parties engaged in in-depth discussions on key issues including precise alignment of information technology industries, facilitation of cross-border trade exchanges, and optimization of the investment environment for Chinese enterprises, and reached an agreement to establish a regular communication mechanism.
As a key component of this visit, the delegation presented the national intangible cultural heritage—Wuhu iron painting—to the Mexican House of Representatives. This artistic treasure, created using iron as ink and hammers as brushes, embodies the profound millennium-old heritage of Huizhou culture. It has received high praise and affection from Mexican lawmakers, serving as a vivid testament to the friendship between the people of Anhui and Mexico. At the conclusion of the talks, the delegation formally extended an invitation to the Mexican House of Representatives, expressing hope that Mexican lawmakers would visit Anhui to experience firsthand its dynamic development and the unique charm of Huizhou culture, thereby advancing bilateral friendly cooperation to deeper levels and broader domains.
Earlier, the delegation conducted on-site inspections at three key project sites of Mexico's OFI Store Company, conducting an in-depth study of the current status and future plans for Mexico's nationwide intelligent highway operation system. The two parties held substantive discussions on smart transportation development, digital infrastructure upgrades, and big data applications in the transportation sector, reaching preliminary cooperation agreements in areas such as technology sharing, joint project implementation, and talent exchange.
The delegation also visited Casanova Car Rental, a renowned domestic car rental company in Mexico, where they conducted preliminary discussions on the feasibility of China's complete vehicles—particularly new energy models—entering the Mexican rental market, along with supply chain support and implementation pathways. This visit provided first-hand market insights for Anhui's new energy vehicle industry in expanding its presence in the Latin American market.
This inspection mission yielded fruitful outcomes, further solidifying the robust foundation for government-business cooperation between Anhui and Mexico. Moving forward, the Mexican Anhui General Chamber of Commerce will continue to implement the consensus reached during this visit, actively promote reciprocal visits between government and enterprises from both sides, facilitate the implementation of more practical cooperation projects, and contribute to deepening the China-Mexico comprehensive strategic partnership while supporting Anhui's high-level opening-up efforts.
